Alex Espinosa is the founder and President of Pilot Line, where he’s on a mission to make R&D catheter manufacturing faster, smarter, and more accessible. As a former R&D catheter engineer, Alex spent years building custom machines from scratch—so he created Pilot Line to make sure others wouldn’t have to. Detail-oriented and relentlessly curious, Alex thrives on solving tough problems and tackling all kinds of engineering challenges. Whether he’s refining a fixture or designing a new tool, his drive to improve is what powers the company forward.
Outside of work, Alex is a Battle Bots builder and a car enthusiast. He’s proud of the company he’s built, but even prouder of the team behind it.

Delio Batista is a Mechanical Engineering student at FIU, currently finishing his second year. Before joining Pilot Line, he led his FRC robotics team to a top 60 international finish out of 8,000 teams.

At Pilot Line, Delio is focused on hands-on engineering, building his CAD skills, and learning from real-world projects. His favorite machine in the shop is the Dip Coater.

In his free time, he’s a rollercoaster enthusiast and a big fan of the movie Interstellar.

Mario Brown is a full-stack software engineer and founder of MioTech, working with Pilot Line to help elevate the level of refinement across our machines. His first project was the Friction Tester, where he created the polished, intuitive user experience that makes the system feel professional and easy to use. Mario’s work spans the full software stack, helping Pilot Line develop better-connected, capable, and user-friendly equipment.
Outside of work, Mario is a passionate Miami Hurricanes fan who enjoys traveling and exploring new places.

Bessy Espinosa holds a degree in Finance and brings a background as a senior financial analyst, primarily within the healthcare sector, to her role as Office Manager at Pilot Line. Today, she oversees accounting and financial operations, coordinates orders and customer communications, and manages the day-to-day activities that keep the office running smoothly. Her financial experience, organization, and steady practical approach help Pilot Line stay on track as the company grows.

Outside of work, Bessy loves to cook, enjoys Italian food and reading novels, and proudly admits to a full-blown obsession with true crime.

Andres Batista is an Engineering Technician at Pilot Line and an engineering student at Florida International University. He competed in FIRST Robotics alongside Delio, gaining valuable hands-on experience with teamwork, problem-solving, and real-world engineering challenges. At Pilot Line, Andres is building his skills through practical work on medical device manufacturing equipment.
