What makes this the best way to coat your devices in-house?

In Stock,
YES REALLY!

Pilot Line machines are in stock and ship as standard parcels. Find a standard outlet and you’re coating. No facility prep. No install schedule. You don't have to wait months to get started. You can start this week.

Lower Cost —
Without Giving Up Quality

Pilot Line’s coater delivers a consistent, repeatable dip-coat process at a fraction of the cost. It’s ideal for prototypes, small batches, or early clinical builds — when you care more about practicality, validation, and flexibility than throughput. In short: great quality for real-world budgets.

True Process Control — For Engineers, By Engineers

You get precise control over speeds, drying parameters and cure time. That means you can iterate quickly, fine-tune coating thickness, and optimize your process. When you need to experiment with new chemistries or adapt to new substrates, this level of control isn’t optional — it’s essential.

"We use several Pilot Line equipment in manufacturing and relied on the quick and responsive support from the Pilot Line team for installation or troubleshooting to significantly improve our production yield."

How Does It Work?

This Coating Machine is designed to precisely apply coatings on medical devices. It features two dipping stations, one for a primer coat and one for a top coat, allowing for a fully automated coating processes. Devices are dipped and retracted at controlled speeds, with the ability to set two distinct retraction speeds along the device length for optimal coating thickness.

After retraction, the coating undergoes drying via heated forced convection and is then cured using UVC radiation in the curing chamber. An iris mechanism minimizes UV radiation exposure by sealing the chamber during curing.

The entire process is fully automatic and programmable, with the option to lock settings to prevent unauthorized changes.
